Visitors to Rotherham have an array of sporting activities to choose from, including fishing, hockey, BMX riding, Golf, Go-Karting, ice skating and motor racing. There are around fifteen health and leisure centres in the town, and more than forty gyms and health clubs, with a number of other large, well-equipped leisure and sports centres planned as part of Rotherham’s regeneration.
Avago Indoor Carting Centre on Whitelee Lane offers go-karting seven days a week. There is also a family lounge, licensed bar and buffet, making it a choice for an afternoon out and not just an hour or two. Rotherham Golf Club, in Thrybergh Park, was formed in 1903 and is a 6327-yard course, with a par of 70. Prices vary, but membership is not required. Contact the club on 01709 559 497.

There is a main hall, used for a range of sports and athletics, and available for hire along with an adjoining kitchen area.
